Job summary

Blackwell Earthmoving Limited seeks an experienced 3D Machine Controls & Modelling Specialist to support major earthworks operations on UK sites including HS2 and Sizewell C. You will manage machine control systems across a fleet of earthmoving plant, calibrate equipment, and upload design models into control platforms.

Working with engineers and surveyors, you will ensure model accuracy, establish survey networks, produce volume calculations and progress reports, and deliver operator training

Qualifications

• Experience in surveying, machine control or earthworks environments.
• Strong knowledge of 3D modelling and design integration.
• Ability to calibrate and validate machine control hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain 3D machine control systems across a fleet of earthmoving plant.
• Configure, calibrate and validate machine control equipment for site accuracy.
• Create, convert and upload design models into machine control platforms.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for machine control systems.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks on site.
• Set up and manage GNSS base stations and site positioning systems.
• Collaborate with engineering/surveying teams to ensure proper model implementation.
• Produce earthworks volume calculations and progress tracking information.
• Generate as-built survey records and reports.
• Deliver operator training while complying with health, safety and environmental standards.
