Environment Artist

Hello, we’re Glowmade! We’re a small-ish, exciting company and the goal of our games is to unlock people's imagination and help them express themselves in wonderful, fun ways. Right now we’re busy building a new multiplayer cooperative game with an ambitious creative wrapper around it. We can’t say too much, but if you can imagine Jim Henson’s Labyrinth mashed up with Wrestlemania, then you’ll be on the right track!

We’ve got big hearts and big ideas, and this is an opportunity to play a key role in our growing team. You'll be working closely with our Art Lead to define and implement the look and feel of our game’s environments.

Responsibilities

• Work with our team to create high-quality environment art.
• Participate in discussions about the broader direction for the game.
• Learn Glowmade’s internal creative tools and share best practices and software recommendations.
• Take environment art from concept to game-ready assets across multiple themes.
• Contribute to decisions about themes and content within those themes.
• Collaborate with design to understand and support their requirements.
• Work with artists inside and outside the studio to realize the game’s vision.
• Be a supportive and central member of our small team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate would…

• Have created environment art for one or more published games.
• Have at least 2 years of professional experience as an environment artist in a studio.
• Demonstrate the ability to take work from concept to in-game pixels (not necessarily doing all steps personally).
• Possess expert 3D modeling skills.
• We are flexible for the right candidate!

Additional Information

This is a permanent position with relocation support. We’re based in Guildford, UK, and prefer you to work onsite with us.
