Our portfolio boasts groundbreaking games developed in collaboration with major studios worldwide. As a fully remote studio, we value clear, continuous, and transparent communication as highly as technical expertise.

Are you a creative 3D Environment Artist passionate about crafting imaginative and immersive worlds? We’re looking for someone to join us and help shape the environments of our upcoming co-op ARPG for the Nintendo Switch. This project is inspired by the aesthetic of retro-futuristic animation and science-fantasy art from the late 20th century, delivering nostalgic charm paired with modern gameplay. We'd love to hear from you if you love designing worlds that captivate players!

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and create visually stunning environments for a stylised ARPG, including organic and hard-surface assets.
  • Build modular architecture kits and props to ensure efficient and cohesive world-building.
  • Optimise assets for Nintendo Switch, meeting performance requirements for poly counts, draw calls, and texture memory.
  • Collaborate closely with design and character teams to seamlessly integrate environments with gameplay.
  • Oversee outsourced assets, providing feedback and handling intake/integration as needed.
  • Conceptualise and execute unique biomes, exterior spaces, and areas that reflect the game’s vibrant aesthetic.
  • Contribute to performance optimisation efforts, ensuring smooth and engaging gameplay.

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in game art, with at least 3+ years focused on environment creation.
  • Expertise in stylised, non-photorealistic environments, with a strong understanding of retro-inspired aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools: Maya/Blender, Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine, particularly in level performance and optimisation.
  • Ability to create PBR textures that maintain a retro-futuristic look and feel.
  • Understanding of gamepad controls and camera tuning for console games.
  • Solid knowledge of level design best practices, including modular construction and environmental storytelling.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
  • Experience working on shipped console titles, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

Bonus Skills

  • Familiarity with lighting setups in Unreal Engine to enhance mood and atmosphere.
  • Experience in shader creation to achieve unique, retro-inspired visual effects.
  • Knowledge of VFX and particle systems to add depth and life to environments.

Benefits

  • A clear career progression path with opportunities for growth and recognition.
  • Fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.
  • Access to mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the gaming industry.
  • Be part of a passionate and dynamic team working on exciting, boundary-pushing projects.
