Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced 360 Excavator Operator for a major earthworks project in Darlington. You will operate excavators for bulk earthworks, drainage and trenching, coordinating with groundworkers and plant to maintain progress.

Applicants must hold a CPCS or NPORS card (360 above/below 10 tonnes), be CIS registered, and wear full PPE. Immediate start available with strict adherence to site safety rules.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS card (360 Excavator Above & Below 10 Tonnes) is essential.
• Proven experience operating excavators on large-scale earthworks or groundworks projects.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, safety boots) and CIS registration required.
• Strong reliability with precise machine control and a focus on site safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate 360 excavators for bulk earthworks, deep drainage, trenching, grading and muck shifting.
• Coordinate with groundworkers, dumper drivers and rollers to maintain progress and accuracy.
• Perform daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks; secure attachments safely.

Location: Darlington

Pay Rate: £21.00 per hour (CIS)

We are currently seeking an experienced 360 Excavator Operator to join a major earthworks project based in Darlington.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate 360 excavators for bulk earthworks, deep drainage, trenching, grading, and muck shifting.

• Work in close coordination with groundworkers, dumper drivers, and roller operatives to maintain progress and accuracy to levels.

• Perform daily pre-start inspections, routine maintenance checks, and ensure all attachments are safely secured.

• Maintain strict adherence to site health and safety standards, exclusion zones, and underground utility guidelines.

Requirements:

• Valid CPCS or NPORS card (360 Excavator Above & Below 10 Tonnes essential).

• Proven experience operating excavators on large-scale earthworks or groundworks projects.
