Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting an experienced 360 excavator operator for a contract role on a major commercial and leisure development in the Carlisle area. You will drive a 360 machine to support groundworks, drainage and earthworks, ensuring efficient progress on a fast-paced site.

Working alongside an established main contractor, you will perform trenching, muck shifts, and material distribution, while conducting daily plant checks and adhering to site safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Card for 360 Excavator (Tracked, Above & Below 10t).
• Proven experience operating a 360 excavator on commercial construction or civil engineering projects.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Safely operating a 360 excavator (above and below 10 tonnes) to carry out deep drainage, trenching, foundations, and muck shifts.
• Assisting groundworkers and site teams with precision digging, grading, and material distribution.
• Unloading and moving heavy site materials in line with site management plans.
• Conducting daily plant inspections, recording pre-use checks, and maintaining the machine to a high standard.
• Adhering strictly to site health and safety protocols, including pedestrian segregation zones and safe working loads.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced 360 excavator operator for a contract role on a major commercial and leisure development in the Carlisle area.
