Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority invites applications for a 30by30 Assessment Officer based in Grassington. You will lead the development of a consistent approach to assessing, recording and monitoring land that contributes toward the UK’s 30by30 commitment.

Working with protected landscapes across England, you’ll help shape how progress is measured and reported nationally, providing expert guidance on assessment criteria, evidence requirements and land qualification.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in ecology, environmental science, geography, conservation or land management.
• Experience assessing environmental or land management projects.
• Experience with GIS data analysis.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and recommendations.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and protected site designations.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement processes for 30by30 assessment and reporting.
• Lead national collaboration between England's National Parks.
• Provide expert guidance to protected landscapes on criteria and evidence.
• Monitor progress and report on 30by30 objectives.
• Act as lead technical contact for National Parks England.
