Job summary

Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is seeking a technical leader to guide assessment, recording, monitoring and reporting against national criteria for 30by30 targets. You will work with land managers and partners to identify opportunities to increase qualifying land and provide expert advice across England's protected landscapes.

Based in the Yorkshire Dales, you will lead collaboration between National Parks England and Defra, monitor progress and report delivery against objectives, and

Qualifications

• Technical leadership to establish consistent assessment, recording, monitoring and reporting processes against national criteria.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement processes for identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting land that contributes towards 30by30 targets.
• Collaborate with land managers and partner organisations to identify opportunities to increase qualifying land.
• Provide expert advice on assessment criteria and evidence requirements to protected landscapes across England.
• Lead national collaboration between England's National Parks to develop shared approaches and best practice.
• Act as the lead technical contact for National Parks England, coordinating with Defra, Natural England and other partners.
• Monitor progress and provide reports on delivery against 30by30 objectives.
