Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in the Barnsley area. We are looking for experienced 3.5 Tonne Van drivers to join the team on the day shift.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am start time

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

• Conducting deliveries to various locations across the UK, including other depots and commercial clients.
• Transporting large panels with no unloading involved; it primarily entails waiting at the destination.
• Ensuring accurate completion of delivery-related paperwork.
• Involvement in minimal physical handling of goods.
• Executing 3 to 5 drops daily.
• Maintaining a strong focus on providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

• Valid and in date UK driving licence.
• Proven experience as a van driver or in a similar role.
• Excellent driving skills with no more than 6 points on licence.
• Strong knowledge of local roads and routes.
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills.
• Customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills.
