Job summary

Cencora, a health-focused logistics company, is hiring a Multi Drop Delivery Driver for Letchworth. The role focuses on timely delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals, with a heavy 48-hour work week and morning starts, including Saturday mornings.

You will be responsible for vehicle checks, loading accuracy, and maintaining excellent customer relations while following safety protocols throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Essential: A full driving license relevant to the vehicle being driven.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent Customer care.
• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy.
• Desirable: Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving.
• Route planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain roadworthiness; check vehicle and report faults.
• Load orders, check drop sheets, and ensure correct loading.
• Ensure security of vehicle and contents during shifts.
• Maintain good customer relations and smart appearance.
• Assist with warehousing tasks if required.
• Follow Health & Safety requirements.

Job Title: Multi Drop Delivery Driver

Location: Letchworth

Hours per week: 48hrs M/T/W/TH/F (am start) and Saturday mornings

Salary: £37,489.92

Job Summary

To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To always maintain a smart appearance.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Skills Knowledge and Experience required

• Essential: A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist

• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy
• Desirable: Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• Less than 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, courier operations, delivery services, or a related field required.
• Certification in dangerous goods awareness, licensure in operation of the applicable vehicle class, cold chain handling, or equivalent required.
