Job summary

Hill View Primary Academy is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to manage the hot meal service and oversee lunchtime operations. The role requires supervising pupils, maintaining a safe and hygienic dining area, and supporting children with positive behaviour strategies.

With GCSE English and Maths, you will work 20 hours per week during term time (39 weeks) and be part of the Reach South Multi Academy Trust.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at minimum
• Experience working with children in a childcare setting
• Ability to cope under pressure and adapt to changes

Responsibilities

• Lead the school hot meal service and supervise daily operations

Job description

This midday supervisor role at Hill View Primary Academy puts the hot school meal service in the hands of one post holder, who oversees daily preparation, cooking, serving and clearing away. The work covers supervising lunchtimes, ensuring pupils are safe, and keeping the dining area clean and hygienic while children eat. It is a permanent post of 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday, in term time across 39 weeks. Relevant childcare experience and the ability to cope under pressure are essential; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Lead the school hot meal service and manage its daily operations
• Ensure efficient preparation, cooking, serving, setting and clearing up
• Supervise lunchtimes so children are safe and sensible while eating and playing
• Keep the dining area clean and hygienic while children eat
