Job summary

Affinity Water is hiring a Production Control Technician on a 12 month fixed-term contract to work in the Control Operations room with a 24/7 schedule. The role supports the Duty Control Manager to maintain water supply, manage alarms and optimise assets within budgetary constraints.

You will work a rotational shift pattern, liaising with internal/external customers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while pursuing continuous improvement and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support the Duty Control Manager in ensuring supply to customers and the strategic management of water distribution.
• Review all incoming production and security alarm traffic and respond per guidelines.
• Investigate issues, assess risk, record actions, escalate as needed and document decisions.
• Maintain communications with internal and external customers during incidents and report supply/demand information.
• Use available materials and procedures to ensure efficient response and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in feedback to drive continuous improvement of the team and self.
• Engage in training and development to become fully effective in the Control Operations environment.
