Job summary

OneAdvanced Limited is recruiting a Systems Engineer for our 24x7 Operations squad in the UK. You will provide second-line support across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365, helping to maintain live service stability, perform incident resolution, and execute standard changes in a 24x7 pattern.

You will work across multiple client environments, following runbooks and defined standards, and develop breadth in Windows Server, Azure, M365 and endpoint management.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure in an operational environment.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server administration and Active Directory concepts.
• Foundational experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 services.
• Experience supporting Windows endpoint environments, including Intune and/or Configuration Manager.
• Structured approach to troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, including ticket and change management.
• Understanding of ITIL practices: Incident, Change and Problem Management.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document actions and outcomes.
• Ability to work a 24x7 shift pattern, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Eligibility for UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line support across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365 and virtualization platforms.
• Support Microsoft Modern Workplace services, including Windows client OS, Intune, Configuration Manager and device compliance policies.
• Resolve incidents, fulfil service requests and implement approved changes in line with ITIL processes.
• Carry out patching, backup checks, endpoint updates and configuration tasks using runbooks and tooling.
• Use monitoring, event management and CMDB data to support triage and resolution.
• Maintain accurate updates within ServiceNow for tickets, changes and CIs.
• Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity of service.
• Identify recurring issues and raise improvement opportunities through appropriate channels.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge articles and runbooks.
• Collaborate with Senior Engineers and Squad Managers, seeking guidance when required.
