Job summary

GPS Recruitment is seeking an experienced shift electrician for a West Yorkshire manufacturing site. You will join a production team on a 5-shift roster around the clock, providing electrical expertise to minimise downtime and keep machinery running.

Responsibilities include breakdown diagnosis, maintenance planning, and improving plant reliability through best practice in automation and control systems, while ensuring safety compliance and site documentation is up to date.

Qualifications

• Experience as a shift electrician in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical/machine faults quickly.
• Familiarity with automation and plant control systems.
• Knowledge of current health and safety regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair faults across production equipment.
• Provide electrical support to maintenance and project work.
• Implement planned maintenance and improve plant availability.
• Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
