Job summary

Harland Services Ltd is seeking compassionate Personal Assistants to join a dedicated care team for a 66-year-old gentleman in Waterlooville. The role involves 24-hour support, personal care, and monitoring health needs in a home setting.

Shifts are 14-hour daytime blocks on a two weeks on, four weeks off rota. Training will be provided for complex care routines and autonomic dysreflexia risks. On-site parking available.

Qualifications

• Providing daily personal care and support
• Assisting with eating and drinking
• Monitoring blood glucose levels when required
• Managing and supporting care of a suprapubic catheter
• Assisting with bowel management (typically every other day)
• Supporting safe repositioning and pressure area care (skin is fragile)
• Assisting with hoist transfers (two carers required due to height)
• Being aware of and managing risks associated with autonomic dysreflexia (training provided)
• Cannot be left alone; carer must be present at all times

Responsibilities

• You will be part of a team providing 24-hour support, ensuring safety, comfort and wellbeing at all times
• Work with the care team to follow clinical guidance and shift routines
• Support the client in daily activities and personal care tasks
