Job summary

Harland Care Services LTD is seeking a Female Personal Assistant / Healthcare Assistant to provide specialist care for a gentleman living at home in Totton, Hampshire. The role focuses on maintaining independence, dignity, and quality of life.

The role includes personal care, PEG feeding, medication administration, tracheostomy and respiratory support, moving and handling, health monitoring, and assisting with appointments.

PERSONAL ASSISTANT- LOCATION: TOTTON, HAMPSHIRE

• Female Personal Assistant / Healthcare Assistant (Complex Care) Totton, Hampshire (SO40)
• This role is open to female applicants only due to a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Salary: £14.32 per hour

The Role

• You will provide specialist support to a gentleman living at home, helping him maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.
• Personal care and daily living support
• PEG feeding and medication administration
• Tracheostomy care and respiratory support
• Moving and handling assistance
• Monitoring health and wellbeing
• Supporting community access and appointments
• Working as part of a dedicated care team

Requirements

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience within complex care or healthcare settings
• Understand person-centred care and promoting independence
• Can work confidently both independently and within a team
• Have excellent communication skills
• Are reliable, compassionate, and professional
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to your own vehicle
• Are happy working in a home environment with two friendly cats

Desirable Experience

Experience or training in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Tracheostomy care
• PEG feeding
• Emergency procedures
• Moving and handling
• First Aid
• Ventilation support
• Complex respiratory care

Don't worry if you require refresher training. We provide ongoing support and development.

Working Hours:

Shift Patterns Available

• Part-Time Early Shift: 8:00am - 12:00pm
• Full-Time Day Shift:7:00am - 7:00pm
• Night Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am
• Saturday and Sunday opportunities available.
• Both full-time and part-time contracts are available.
• Additional weekday cover may occasionally be required

All successful candidates will complete a period of paid shadow shifts before working independently

This is a permanent position with regular rota-based hours
