Job summary

GKN Filton site is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee 24/7 maintenance across CNC machines and process equipment. You will drive uptime, analyze data for continuous improvement, and manage a multi-disciplinary maintenance team at a busy aerospace manufacturing site in the UK.

The role requires extensive leadership experience, a technical degree or apprenticeship, and a proven track record in maintenance leadership, CMMS usage, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Leadership of multi-disciplined teams.
• 10+ years of engineering or maintenance experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience implementing root cause countermeasures.

Responsibilities

• Lead 24/7 maintenance across CNC machines and process equipment.
• Ensure PPMs are completed on time and support operational needs.
• Drive asset uptime and reliability via tactical and strategic activities.
• Champion HSE culture and ensure safety/compliance.
• Support quality and manufacturing engineering in delivering right-first-time components.
• Collect and analyse data to support CI activities.
• Manage financial budget to maximise value.
• Oversee contractors and ensure services align with maintenance/overhauls.
• Drive TPM and support Asset Management & Reliability teams.
