Amazon Data Services UK Limited is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join the Data Centre Engineering Operations (DCEO) team. You will perform hands-on maintenance and inspections of electrical and mechanical infrastructure powering AWS cloud services in a 24/7 data centre environment.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.

Responsabilités

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and equipment checks to ensure systems are operating correctly.
• Monitor alarms and system performance using Building Management Systems (BMS) and other monitoring tools.
• Assist with fault finding and troubleshooting across infrastructure systems including power distribution and cooling equipment.
• Support operation and testing of critical systems including diesel generators, UPS systems, switchgear and cooling equipment.
• Supervise specialist vendors performing maintenance or repair activities on site.
• Follow permit-to-work and safety procedures for all maintenance and operational activities.
• Participate in incident response and support troubleshooting during infrastructure events.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and operational logs.
• Support testing activities including generator tests and infrastructure failover exercises.
