Job summary

Bank of England is seeking an engineering Shift Technician to deliver planned and reactive maintenance using IWMS, and to conduct daily checks to keep critical systems running 24/7. You will respond to faults with priority, support life safety testing, and assist OEM contractors while maintaining safe working environments.

The role requires City & Guilds Level 3, IOSH Safety, and experience with HV/LV Authorised Person duties, with strong communication and teamwork skills to support continuous

Qualifications

• Minimum City & Guilds Level 3 in engineering or transferable qualification.
• IOSH Operating Safely qualification.
• Experience with IWMS planned and reactive maintenance tools using handheld HMI.
• Experience operating and maintaining HVAC, BMS, Electrical, Public Health and Life Safety Systems.
• Authorised Person experience at HV or LV system operation.
• Knowledge of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and statutory obligations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned, preventative tasks and reactive maintenance via IWMS.
• Update maintenance tasks within the IWMS system.
• Carry out daily and periodic checks on building systems to ensure 24/7 operation.
• Attend to faults, set priority responses and maintain safe environments.
• Participate in on-call rota and incident management exercises.
• Support life safety system testing and OEM contractor activities.
• Provide data to enable shift handovers and reports.
