The Role
The role will be to deliver comprehensive, highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy service to patients from the neurodivergent community; using evidence based practice.

What we'll need you to bring
Registered Speech and Language Therapist with valid HCPC Registration.
Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level.
Post graduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently.
Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
Advanced specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality.
Evidence of application of advanced practice skills in speciality and applying clinical judgement.
Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership.
Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualifications.
The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative.
Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills.
Working knowledge of basic information technology.
Full driving licence holder.

Member of RCSLT
Post graduate leadership/management training
Evidence of attendance on specialist short courses and advanced training up to Masters level or equivalent in particular clinical specialist areas
Experience of involvement in ASD diagnostic process
Highly specialist knowledge and extensive clinical skills which are underpinned by current evidence base, acquired through in depth experience and theoretical study of ASD
Develops own knowledge base as evidenced by attendance at SIGs, journal clubs, review of current literature
Knowledge of and adherence to national and local clinical guidelines and policies
Knowledge of current local and national policies in specialist area
Identifies and proposes the development of local clinical guidelines/procedures / policies in own highly specialist area
Identifies areas for own personal / professional development including specific objectives relating to clinical specialism evidenced by Personal Development Plane/Professional Portfolio
Able to analyse and use date to inform service delivery

Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Kirklands, Bothwell
The working pattern for this role Mon - Fri; 9:00-5:00 pro rata.
