Accordingly, GIA comprises the 'third line of defence' and works closely with Business teams and Risk & Compliance functions - the 'first' and 'second' lines of defence, respectively. GIA operates globally from headquarters in London, with permanent teams in Luxembourg and Singapore. The department consists of approximately 25 professionals from diverse backgrounds in practice, industry, and specialisms, organised into sub‑teams covering Asset Management (public and private markets), Wealth Management, and Operations & Technology. The team is led by the Head of Group Internal Audit, reporting primarily to the Chair of the Board Audit and Risk Committee and secondarily to the Group Chief Executive.
