Job summary

WSP is recruiting graduates for its Civil teams across multiple disciplines, including Bridges, Pavements, Aviation and Asset Management. You will contribute to the design, delivery and management of infrastructure projects and gain visibility across multidisciplinary teams.

You will start in September 2027, with a two-year Graduate Development Programme that blends structured learning, mentoring and hands-on project experience, preparing you for a career in civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Requires at least a 2:2 in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. Master’s degrees considered for Bridges opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of civil projects across Bridges, Pavements, Aviation and Asset Management.
• Gain hands-on experience through design work, technical analysis, site visits and engagement with stakeholders.

A little bit more about your role and the team...

Working as a Graduate in one of our Civil teams means contributing to exciting and innovative projects across specialist areas including Bridges, Maritime, Aviation, Rail Civil Infrastructure, Pavements and Asset Management. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, from assessing and strengthening existing infrastructure to designing the next generation of transport, aviation and coastal assets.

You will be part of multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with experienced engineers and specialists on real-world challenges. You will gain hands-on experience through design work, technical analysis, site visits and stakeholder engagement, while taking on increasing responsibility as your skills develop.

Whether you're helping to enhance rail networks, delivering sustainable port infrastructure, improving airport operations, developing innovative pavement solutions or supporting the long-term management of critical assets, you will work on projects that make a lasting impact.

What we’re looking for

• You will have, or be on track to achieve, at least a 2:2 in a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. Please note, we only accept master’s degrees for our Bridges opportunities. Please check the degree backgrounds considered for our graduate roles via our Graduate Website
• You will be looking to start work in September 2027.
• You will have an interest in Civil and Structural Engineering, Pavement Engineering, Airfield Engineering, Aviation Management or Airport Planning.

Our two-year Graduate Development Programme is designed to help you build the skills, experience and professional network needed to thrive at the start of your career with us. Through a blend of structured learning, mentoring and hands-on project experience, you will be supported every step of the way.
