Adult Mental Health Nurses

Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS)
As an ADRS nurse, you will deliver recovery-focused, dignified, and person-centered care to individuals with alcohol dependence and substance misuse issues. Under supervision, you will work with patients, families, and carers to reduce harm and promote recovery. ADRS teams operate across community and inpatient settings, collaborating with statutory services, third sector organizations, and local communities, providing evidence-based interventions including medication-assisted therapy, detoxification, and psychological support.
Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
CAMHS nurses develop therapeutic relationships with young people and their families, providing support to help manage thoughts and feelings. They are involved in assessment, planning, direct intervention, and signposting during critical life stages.
Forensic Mental Health Services
Forensic mental health nurses care for vulnerable service users involved with the criminal justice system. They work in community and secure settings, managing risks and supporting recovery, alongside multidisciplinary teams.
Mental Health Services
Within NHS GG&C, mental health nursing spans community and inpatient services. Roles include community mental health (adult and older adults) and inpatient care, focusing on recovery and person-centered approaches.
Prison Healthcare
NHS GG&C provides healthcare across four prisons. Mental health nurses in this setting deliver evidence-based, recovery-focused care to a vulnerable population, including teams specializing in addictions, mental health, and primary care.
Opportunities are available for adult and learning disability nurses across various teams and settings.
