Job summary

CMS is offering a two-year training contract across England & Wales with four six-month seats in varied practice areas. You’ll join the CMS Academy before starting and will grow through hands-on client work and firm-wide learning.

The programme emphasizes judgement, commercial awareness and professional development. You’ll be supported by a seat supervisor, Emerging Talent team and trainee committee, with opportunities for international secondments and client secondments subject to business

Qualifications

• Penultimate or final year law students are eligible.
• Non-law students in final year may apply.
• Graduates and postgraduate students from law or non-law backgrounds can join.
• Career changers are welcome to pursue a legal career.

Responsibilities

• Work across different practice groups to gain broad legal exposure.
• Participate in the CMS Academy and the two-year training programme.
• Take on meaningful matters and ownership of development with support from mentors.
