Job summary

Unicare Complex Care is seeking a Complex Care Support Worker in Reading for a 2:1, 24-hour support package. You will deliver daytime 2:1 assistance, waking nights, and community access, with a focus on personal care, emotional regulation, and behavioural support within PBS frameworks.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in care, experience with Autism or Learning Disabilities, and the ability to manage behaviours of concern.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in care.
• Experience supporting Autism or Learning Disabilities.
• Confident managing behaviours of concern.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Calm under pressure.
• Team working skills (2:1 working essential).

Responsibilities

• Personal care and hygiene support.
• Meal preparation and nutrition monitoring.
• Medication support (if trained).
• Following PBS strategies and de-escalation approaches.
• Supporting sensory regulation activities and structured routines.
• Swimming and leisure activities; community access and travel support.
