Job summary

Bluebird Care Exeter is seeking a dedicated Support Worker with experience in complex care to join a team delivering person-centred support to young people and adults with autism and complex needs in the Exeter area.

You will work 2 x 12-hour shifts per week (day and night), follow structured plans, engage in Positive Behaviour Support, de-escalation, and routine activities, and complete accurate records with supervision and on-call clinical guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex care needs.
• Calm, patient, and reliable approach.
• Commitment to consistent, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines and meaningful activities.
• Follow individual support plans and behaviour strategies.
• Complete accurate records and handovers.
• Respond to distress with de-escalation and PBS methods.
• Work with a consistent team and clinicians.
