Job summary

Sugarman Health & Wellbeing Limited is seeking a compassionate Complex Care Assistant to support an individual living with Motor Neurone Disease in South Croydon. You will work in a 2:1 care team providing clinical and personal care in a family home, ensuring dignity and a positive environment for the client and their young family.

The role emphasizes hands-on tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, ventilator monitoring, and the use of assistive eye-gaze technology. A warm, energetic presence is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' professional UK care experience.
• Hands-on experience with Tracheostomy care is mandatory.
• Comfort with assistive technology and eye-gaze systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality 2:1 clinical and personal support.
• Manage tracheostomy care, suctioning and cough assist.
• PEG feeding, ventilator monitoring and nebulizer administration.
• Assistive technology for non-verbal communication and home devices.
• Daily personal care, manual handling and meal preparation.
• Engage with the client’s young children to maintain a welcoming home.
• Follow care plans and report updates or concerns.
