Salary: Competitive, based on experience (£14.45 - £15.20 per hour)

Are you passionate about making a significant impact on a child’s educational journey? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Torquay. This part-time role offers a wonderful opportunity to provide personalised support to a child with specific learning needs, helping them thrive in a nurturing school environment.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with one child, offering individualised support to enhance their learning experience. If you are patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about supporting children's development, this role is ideal for you!

Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

• Provide tailored support to a child on a one-to-one basis, focusing on their academic and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver customised lesson plans and learning resources.
• Help the child stay focused and engaged during lessons, adapting activities to suit their needs.
• Monitor the child's progress and contribute to their academic and social development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages confidence and independence.
• Experience working with children, preferably within an educational setting.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the team.
• A proactive approach and the ability to use initiative.
• Experience working with children with additional learning needs.
