Long Term Teachers is looking for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Cullompton. This part-time role focuses on providing individualised assistance to a child with additional needs, helping them succeed in a mainstream classroom setting.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Offer tailored support to the assigned pupil, both inside and outside the classroom.
• Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
• Encourage the child's social, emotional, and academic growth in a nurturing environment.
• Assist in managing behaviour positively and effectively.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children is essential; prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
• Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting student progress.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff, pupils, and parents.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3) are advantageous but not essential.
