Job summary

Royston Town FC are looking to appoint a First Team Sports Therapist with an immediate start available. The role is part-time with evening commitments on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Saturdays for matchdays, and occasional Mondays/Bank Holidays, including away travel.

The duties include injury assessment and treatment, rehabilitation planning, pitch-side and matchday medical cover, and close collaboration with our S&C Coach to prepare players.

Qualifications

• Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation or equivalent qualification.
• Appropriate professional insurance.
• UK-based and able to meet the required commitment.
• Enhanced DBS (can be arranged through the club).

Typical commitment:

• Tuesday evenings – training or matchday
• Thursday evenings – training
• Saturdays – matchday
• Away travel where required

Occasional fixtures also fall on Mondays and Bank Holidays.

We take our medical provision seriously and are looking for someone who wants to take ownership of the role and become an important part of our first-team staff.

This is a paid, part-time position leading the medical provision within our first-team environment.

Required:

• Sports Therapy, Sports Rehabilitation or equivalent qualification
• Appropriate professional insurance
• UK-based and able to meet the required commitment
• Enhanced DBS (can be arranged through the club)

Desirable:

• ITMMiF or equivalent pitch-side qualification
• Previous experience within football

Football experience isn’t essential, but applicants with experience of working within a football/dressing-room environment will be viewed favourably.

Royston Town compete at Step 4 of the National League System.

Remuneration will reflect qualifications and experience and will be discussed at interview.
