Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a 1st Line IT Support Technician to work for a multi-award-winning IT Managed Services company in Newcastle.

Role Details

This is a full-time position with a hybrid working model: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The company has a strong track record of staff retention and offers excellent culture and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Install and support IT systems and infrastructure for clients.
  • Support and maintain on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Support technologies including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, VMware, and Citrix.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and clients.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience supporting MSP or in a customer-centric support environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory, GPO, and Exchange administration.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a 1st line helpdesk environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies and O365 suite, including MFA.
  • Basic understanding of networking, firewalls, backup solutions, and virtualization.
