Job summary

Booker Group, part of Tesco plc, is hiring for a local delivery driver. You will drive a Cat C / 18T vehicle, loading at the branch and delivering to customers, with a focus on timely, friendly service.

The role involves working 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 pattern, including weekends, and building relationships with regular customers. Overtime and CPC training are provided.

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately.

• Work 45 hours per week with some weekend shifts.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

Cat C / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
