Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited's Freedom Power Projects team seeks a Construction Manager to own delivery of a 132kV substation, managing civils and electrical works at a Bedford/Milton Keynes site. Travel to site daily and ensure high standards across quality, safety and schedule.

The role requires strong on-site leadership, CDM compliance, and experience on EHV/HV schemes; SMSTS and CSCS/ECS are essential, IOSH desirable.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certified
• CSCS/ECS Card holder
• CDM 2015 competent
• IOSH in Health & Safety desirable

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee safe delivery of construction works on the 132kV substation project.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Designers and Engineers to resolve on-site issues.
• Monitor programme updates with planners and track progress against milestones.
• Ensure ITPs, file photos, hold points and client inspections are completed on site.
• Lead resource planning and ensure subcontractors and suppliers comply with Freedom standards.
