Job summary

Freedom is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to lead a flagship 132kV/33kV EHV/HV substation project in the Yorkshire region. You will travel to the Harrogate area regularly and manage a team of specialists and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires 10+ years in project management for substations, strong CDM knowledge, and proven client-facing experience. A degree in electrical engineering and a track record of Design and Build work are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in project management, specifically 132kV substation projects.
• Fluency in CDM is essential.
• Client facing with ability to manage client relationships and internal teams.
• Experience in Design and Build of 132kV substations, preferably aligned with DNO standards.
• Experience with 66kV or 33kV schemes relevant but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of this package, reporting to Head of Operations.
• Deliver project safely, on time and within budget, balancing cost, programme, quality and safety.
• Proactively identify commercial and engineering risks and opportunities to protect the business.
• Coordinate designers, consultants, surveyors, construction teams and supply chain.
• Provide strong industry references and maintain professional project management documentation.
