Position: 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative

Location: Tewkesbury

Working Hours: 40 hours/week with overtime opportunities. Hours may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends. On-call rota may be required, especially if using a company van.

About Chevron Traffic Management

Chevron Traffic Management sets up temporary road closures, diversions, and pedestrian walkways to ensure safety during roadworks. Our work includes installing cones, signage, traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and barriers. We also engage in consulting, planning, designing, estimating, liaising with suppliers and clients, and innovating to improve safety and reduce carbon footprint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic counts, communicate with clients and subcontractors, and monitor near misses
• Maintain temporary traffic lights
• Install, maintain, and remove traffic management equipment (cones, signs, frames, sandbags, etc.)
• Assist and guide trainees

Qualifications

• SLG Unit 2 or M1/M2 qualification (minimum)
• 12d Lantra qualification (highly desirable but not essential)
• Knowledge of Chapter 8
• Full driving license with no more than 6 points; bans must be expired for at least 5 years
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests
