Job summary

Pinson TM Limited is actively recruiting traffic management operatives for projects across Scotland, including Inverness. The role involves setting up and maintaining temporary traffic signals, directing traffic, and ensuring safety compliant with RAMS.

We welcome operatives and drivers with traffic management experience and a valid Lantra M5 qualification. The position requires teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in one or more of the listed roles such as M5 Operative.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings.
• Strong safety awareness and reliable work attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage temporary traffic lights as required to maintain road safety.
• Monitor traffic flow at temporary signals and ensure compliance by road users.
• Report issues to site or operations manager promptly.
• Read and interpret RAMS and traffic management plans.
• Assist with unloading/loading of materials and equipment as needed.
• Maintain and remove traffic management within prescribed timeframes.
• Assess site risks and ensure safe working practices at all times.
• Collaborate with direct and sub-contract labour to meet deadlines.
• Ensure all team members follow health and safety guidelines.

Pinson TM are working with some of the largest traffic management companies across the UK and we are constantly recruiting for Trainee & Qualified Traffic Management Operatives.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking both Operatives and drivers with Traffic Management experience. This is a great opportunity to join one of our leading Traffic Management clients.

All Candidates must have experience in one or more of the below positions:

• M5 Operative

Scope of Role:

Operatives will be working with both the direct labour and sub-contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines on time.

Duties may include:

• Setting up temporary traffic lights at roads required
• Managing the traffic flow at the temp traffic lights ensuring the public abide by this
• Reporting anything necessary to site or operations manager
• Reliable and dependable with a good attitude to work
• Being able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings.
• Maintaining and remove traffic management within the required time scales.
• Setting up traffic lights.
• Assisting with the diversion of traffic.
• To ensure the team works in a safe and effective manner to achieve optimum output and to the required quality.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act at all times.
• Be aware and comply to the provided RAMS.
• To help with the unloading/loading of materials.
• Ensure safe working practices are followed as outlined in Method Statements and
• Risk Assessments.
• Reporting plant & vehicle defects.
