Job summary

Pinson TM Limited in Scotland is recruiting for Trainee and Qualified Traffic Management Operatives to join a leading traffic management operations team across the UK.

Duties include setting up temporary traffic signals, managing traffic flow, ensuring safety, reading CAD drawings, reporting to site/ops manager, and working with direct and subcontract labour to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic management operations.
• Ability to read CAD traffic management drawings.
• Right to Work in UK.
• Pass Drugs & Alcohol check.

Responsibilities

• Setting up temporary traffic lights at roads as required.
• Managing the traffic flow at the temporary lights and ensuring public compliance.
• Reporting issues to site or operations manager.
• Reading and interpreting CAD traffic management drawings.
• Setting up and removing traffic management within required timescales.
• Assisting with the diversion of traffic and unloading/loading of materials.
• Ensuring safe working practices and compliance with RAMS and method statements.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking both Operatives and drivers with Traffic Management experience. This is a great opportunity to join one of our leading Traffic Management clients.

All Candidates must have experience in one or more of the below positions:

• M5 Operative

Scope of Role:

Operatives will be working with both the direct labour and sub-contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines on time.

Duties may include:

• Setting up temporary traffic lights at roads required
• Managing the traffic flow at the temp traffic lights ensuring the public abide by this
• Reporting anything necessary to site or operations manager
• Reliable and dependable with a good attitude to work
• Being able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings.
• Maintaining and remove traffic management within the required time scales.
• Setting up traffic lights.
• Assisting with the diversion of traffic.
• To ensure the team works in a safe and effective manner to achieve optimum output and to the required quality.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act at all times.
• Be aware and comply to the provided RAMS.
• To help with the unloading/loading of materials.
• Ensure safe working practices are followed as outlined in Method Statements and
• Risk Assessments.
• Reporting plant & vehicle defects.

• 12D M5 Lantra Approved Qualification
• Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol Check
• Right to Work in UK
