Full-Time September Start Primary School
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young children with complex needs? Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming primary school in South Liverpool that is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN TA to join their Reception team from September.
In this full-time position, you'll work 1:1 with a child in Reception who has complex special educational needs. Your focus will be on building trust, supporting learning, and helping the child engage positively in the classroom environment.
Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with complex needs in a Reception setting
Implement strategies outlined in the child's EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan)
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt activities and manage behaviour
Monitor and report progress, maintaining consistent communication with parents and professionals
Foster a calm, nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional and academic growth
Previous experience supporting children with complex SEN, ideally in an EYFS or primary setting
A calm, patient and adaptable approach
Knowledge of early years development and strategies to support additional needs
A relevant qualification in education or SEN is desirable
A supportive and inclusive school environment
A well-established senior leadership team and committed SEN support network
