Job summary

Cohens Chemist is recruiting a 40 hour Qualified Pharmacy Assistant for a permanent contract at Heysham Primary Care Centre, Middleton Way, Heysham, Morecambe, LA3 2LE. The role covers dispensing support, label generation and stock management within the dispensary.

Successful candidates will hold NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services and demonstrate strong people skills, accuracy and the ability to work under pressure in a busy team environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services is essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work in a busy dispensary and support dispensing activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dispensing and labeling of prescription items.
• Receive prescriptions and hand out prescription items.

We are looking to recruit a 40 hour Qualified Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at branch 477 located at Heysham Primary Care Centre, Middleton Way, Heysham, Morecombe, LA3 2LE.

The proposed shift pattern is:

Monday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)

Tuesday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)

Wednesday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)

Thursday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)

Friday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break)

As a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the business in providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for providing support with the dispensing and labelling of prescription items.

Additional responsibilities will include receiving prescriptions and handing out prescription items and assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary.

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services is essential; skills in planning, attention to detail and working under pressure are all required.

The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to your role. You will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
