Job summary

Explore Learning in Glasgow is seeking empathetic tutors to support children aged 4–16 across the national curriculum, including 11+ and GCSE prep. You’ll deliver tailored sessions using Compass, build relationships in a 1:6 setting, and help learners progress with positive guidance.

This on-site, part-time role offers regular hours across weekdays and Saturdays, with pay scales that acknowledge age and experience. Commitment to safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• Age 16+ and right to work in the UK.
• GCSE Maths & English Language grade 6+ (or equivalent).
• Available to work minimum 6 hours per week over at least 2 weekdays.
• Experience leading sessions with small groups is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored sessions using Compass to facilitate learning through questioning, scaffolding and stretching.
• Build meaningful relationships in a 1:6 setting to create a safe, inspiring learning environment.
• Drive academic progress by supporting the national curriculum, entrance exams and GCSE prep.
• Lead sessions with small groups while prioritising safety and learner wellbeing.
