Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking Part-Time 1:1 Outreach Tutors to support children in care, SEN, and excluded pupils across Essex. Tutoring may occur during school hours, after school, or weekends, 1:1 in homes, care settings or libraries.

The role focuses on Maths and English, with occasional Science support across key stages. QTS/QTLS preferred but not essential if you have relevant experience. DBS and Right to Work in the UK required, contracts are temporary with ongoing opportunities.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS is preferred but not essential providing you have relevant experience
• Experience working with SEMH or LAC would be advantageous
• Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student
• A positive attitude and desire
• The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tutoring to children in care, SEN and excluded pupils across Essex
• Adapt lessons to support learners with lower attainment
• Record progress and communicate with supervising staff as required
