Job summary

Smart Education are recruiting for a Tutor to work in Dudley. The role is a contract position with flexible hours and a pay rate of £26.62 per hour.

You will deliver 1:1 tutoring in home or residential settings, developing personalised learning plans and adapting teaching to diverse backgrounds and needs, including SEN/SEMH. Required qualifications include QTS/QTLS/PGCE or extensive tutoring experience, and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Qualifications

• Proven teaching qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE) or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Experience working with children/young people with additional learning needs (SEN/SEMH).
• Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with students in a home or residential setting (including LAC environments).
• Develop personalised learning strategies for students out of mainstream education and support re-engagement in education.
• Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of backgrounds and learning needs using a creative and versatile teaching style.
