Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to provide personalised tuition in Banbury and surrounding areas, either at the pupil's home or within a school setting during normal school hours. This flexible, part-time role suits experienced teachers or tutors who are passionate about helping pupils progress and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging one-to-one sessions, planning lessons, monitoring progress, and liaising with parents and schools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in the UK.
• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check required, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition based on each pupil's individual needs.
• Support pupils with their academic progress, confidence, and engagement with learning.
• Plan and prepare appropriate lessons and learning activities.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback where required.
• Liaise professionally with parents, carers, schools, and the wider education team.
