Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is seeking a QTS-qualified teacher to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas, either at the pupil’s home or in a school setting during school hours.

You will plan lessons aligned to the UK National Curriculum, monitor progress, give constructive feedback and uphold safeguarding standards, while forming positive relationships with pupils, parents and school staff.

Qualifications

• QTS essential.
• Strong knowledge of and experience delivering the UK Curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage pupils on a 1:1 basis.
• Patient, supportive and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong safeguarding understanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions.
• Plan lessons in accordance with the UK National Curriculum.
• Identify individual learning needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Support pupils with academic progress, confidence and engagement.
• Set clear learning objectives and monitor progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and maintain session records.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and school staff.
• Follow safeguarding and professional standards at all times.
