Are you an experienced Educator, Tutor, or support professional looking for flexible, rewarding work where you can make a genuine difference? TP Tutors is actively recruiting SEN Tutors in Dover to deliver 1:1, face‑to‑face tuition to young people currently outside of mainstream education.

About the Role

You’ll support learners with additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, and school avoidance, using a personalised, patient, and creative approach.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition sessions in homes or community settings
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with learners
  • Adapt lessons to suit individual needs and learning styles
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing
  • Help students re‑engage with education and achieve realistic goals
  • Track progress and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders
Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, including teachers, ex‑teachers, SLD/MLD teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, SENCO, SEN professionals, youth workers, mentors, and intervention specialists.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
  • A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to adapt your teaching style to individual needs
  • Access to transport or willingness to travel locally

To be considered, you will need:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
  • Two years of recent, verifiable professional references
