Job summary

Vision for Education are looking for a 1:1 Tutor to support students based in Preston. They are looking to appoint a passionate 1:1 Tutor to deliver core subjects 1:1 with students unable to attend education or needing support in a curriculum area. Sessions can range from 1 - 5 hours per day depending on the student's needs.

The 1:1 Tutor role is long term to offer consistency for the students. The successful candidate will hold a teaching qualification, have experience with SEND, be able to

Qualifications

• Must have a teaching qualification.
• Experience building positive relationships with students.
• Experience working with students with SEND.
• Ability to deliver Maths & English sessions.
• Passion for helping students engage with education.
• Ability to collaborate with other professionals (e.g. social workers, educational psychologists).

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 Maths and English sessions to pupils.
• Support students who cannot attend education or need additional help.
• Work with the Local Authority team to provide consistent support.

£30 per hour (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)

The Role

Vision for Education are looking for a 1:1 Tutor to support students based in Preston. They are looking to appoint a passionate 1:1 Tutor to deliver core subjects 1:1 with students unable to attend education or needing support in a curriculum area. Working with this Local authority with an established team around the child, the desired 1:1 Tutor will work 1:1 with pupils with SEND or who are Looked After. Sessions can range from 1 - 5 hours per day depending on the student's needs. The 1:1 Tutor role is long term to offer consistency for the students.

Requirements

The desired 1:1 Tutor will have:

• A teaching qualification,
• Experience of building positive relationships with students,
• Experience of working with students with SEND,
• The ability to deliver Maths & English sessions,
• A passion for the progress of students struggling to engage with education,
• An ability to work with different professionals to support the student (e.g. social workers, educational psychologists)
