Job summary

AP Education is seeking Therapeutic Tutors to provide face-to-face 1:1 support in Norwich for learners with SEND/SEMH and related needs. You will work with students from Early Years to KS4, delivering core subjects and SEMH-specific content with a therapeutic, adaptable approach.

The role includes baseline assessments, progress reporting, and collaboration with external professionals to ensure tailored learning. Flexible hours and supportive onboarding are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience teaching or tutoring children with SEND/SEMH.
• QTS or HLTA certification preferred; applicants with 2+ UK years of experience welcome.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face 1:1 support for learners with complex needs.
• Deliver core subjects or SEMH-specific content.
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies.
• Perform baseline academic and emotional assessments to guide interventions.
• Prepare progress reports and liaise with SALT/OT/Social Workers as needed.
• Manage daily attendance reporting via attendance software.
