Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with additional needs.
• Ability to tailor learning activities to individual needs.
• Experience working with SENCO and teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism
• Supporting the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development
• Implementing strategies outlined in the pupil's support plan
• Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Supporting communication, independence, and confidence-building
• Working closely with teaching staff, SENCO, parents, and external professionals where appropriate
• Monitoring progress and providing regular feedback to the class teacher
