Job summary

Milk Education are working with a primary school in Knowsley who are seeking a full-time Year 1 Teaching Assistant to work 1-2-1 with a child in Year 1 who has Autism. This role is starting immediately with the potential of this role being extended further.

The Hours are 08:30am‑15:30pm, Monday to Friday, and the school requires a patient, nurturing candidate capable of supporting the child’s learning needs, preparing resources, and maintaining a focused learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people within the past two years.
• Must have a passion for education.
• Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children.
• Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs.
• Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate.
• Deliver catch‑up sessions.
