Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Dorking, Redhill, Reigate, Horley, and surrounding Surrey areas. The role is long term or short term, full-time or part-time, in local schools.

The ideal candidate will be caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic, with the ability to work flexibly to meet diverse learning and emotional needs. Opportunities include CPD training and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children with SEND (desirable)
• Is patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic
• Can work flexibly to meet a range of learning and emotional needs
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Is committed to helping children achieve their full potential

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans
• Deliver targeted small group interventions
• Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, independence, and confidence
• Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning where appropriate
