Job summary

Milk Education is seeking 1:1 Teaching Assistants for Horley, Surrey, starting September. Fixed-term contracts will support a pupil through to the end of Year 6, with opportunities for small group interventions and collaboration with staff.

The role requires patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to adapt to diverse learning and emotional needs. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for this nurturing school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
• Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic.
• Flexible to meet a range of learning and emotional needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Committed to helping children achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support for the named pupil across the curriculum.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
• Deliver targeted small group interventions.
• Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, independence, and confidence.
• Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning where appropriate.
